Why This Role Matters
We're building Vega™, a breakthrough 3D weaving system that turns yarn directly into garments in minutes. As our Business Development Lead, you'll be the driving force behind adoption of our technology across global apparel manufacturers. Your work will directly support our mission to reduce global carbon emissions by 1% by revolutionizing how clothes are made.
What You'll Do
- Secure partnerships with 5 key global manufacturing partners, including 2 long-term offtake partners within 12 months
- Oversee deployment of 15-20 Vega™ machines in partner facilities within 18 months
- Develop a scalable, repeatable sales and partnership model for manufacturers
- Build a robust pipeline of potential manufacturing partners, expanding our ecosystem upstream and downstream from yarn suppliers to finishing steps
- Collaborate with Commercialization and Branding teams to align brands, manufacturers, and our go-to-market strategy
- Partner with the Operations team to manage manufacturer relationships and execute scale-up plans
- Travel frequently to manufacturers, industry events, and occasionally brands for business development
Who You Are
- Manufacturing Expert: You bring 5-8 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership management in the apparel industry
- Strategic Relationship Builder: You excel at establishing trust with C-suite executives and decision-makers at manufacturing companies
- Financial Storyteller: You can create and present compelling financial models and ROI analyses that make the business case clear
- Technical Translator: You can articulate complex technical concepts in terms of real business benefits
- Cross-Cultural Collaborator: You navigate global business relationships with sensitivity and adaptability

- Presenting our technology vision to C-suite manufacturing executives
- Building strategic relationships with potential partners
- Collaborating with our operations team on deployment strategies
- Developing compelling business cases for technology adoption
- Aligning brand partnerships with manufacturer capabilities
- Traveling to partner sites and industry events globally
- Connecting with the team virtually and in person

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $132,000 USD annually, plus equity benchmarked to the 75th percentile, and a commission structure based on ARR.
